Process quotations, sales orders and resolve customer product or service issues.

| Job Responsibilities: |
Processes quotations and sales orders, prepares and follow up on purchase orders and confirmation of ship dates.
Responds to customers’ inquiries or complaints regarding company products or services.
Works within established company guidelines.
Responsible for inbound calls (40-60 per day).
Making outbound calls to reps and customers, creating correspondence and maintaining a high level of professionalism as well as handling general administrative duties.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

| Competency Requirements: |
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of customer service experience or related area.
Minimum alphanumeric data entry input is 7,000 keystrokes/hour with 95% accuracy.
Minimum 90% accuracy on Misumi’s math test.
Exhibit above average math skills.
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and conflict management skills.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Must be fluent in English and Japanese.
Knowledge of the tooling or manufacturing industry preferred.
Proficient in MS Office applications Word and Excel.

| Position Description: |
Responsible for all aspects of supplier management/development. Analyze and interpret data, work on improvement of department efficiencies.

| Job Responsibilities: |
Development and execution of procurement strategies focused on both short and long term cost reductions.
Uses detailed cost and value analysis negotiates pricing/supply agreements according to company’s requirements.
Analyze annual sales of product groups to determine the products to source locally and to negotiate the best price and delivery.
Reduce the cost and delivery of goods procured.
Monitor the quality, delivery and level of customer service of each supplier.
Resolve any problems with suppliers.
Improve the performance of suppliers.
Improve efficiency of supplier management, supplier qualification, and supplier ordering process.
Provide support for Sales and Product Development key accounts including custom quotations and special requests.
Analyze sales data to determine appropriate inventory level for items stocked at QCT.
Maintain and add product data to internal system such as product master, quantity slide, check master and price master.
Work with Sales/Product Development to develop prototype components per customer requirements.
Process stock orders daily to maintain predetermined inventory levels and meet customer demand.
5-10% traveling required.
Data analysis – 25%-50%
Plus all other duties as assigned by the employer.

Computes duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported/imported to/from foreign destinations. Examines invoices and shipping documents to ensure accordance with federal regulations. Researches international issues and reports on their relevance/impact to Misumi.

Work with freight forwarders for receiving and shipping internationally.
Quotation and set-up special delivery/shipping arrangements.
Research for specific international projects.
Create commercial invoice, SED, NAFTA certificate and other international documents.
Keep track of freight location and check costs.
Make suggestions to management based on international logistical point of view.
Create Dangerous goods declaration.

Knowledge of IATA rule (Japan, US, Canada).

Freight forwarder experience (import and export) preferred.

Conducts engineering studies and may assign work to technical drafting staff.

On occasion, must visit customer facilities for technical assistance in product design or product issues.

Maintain relationship with website designers to communicate updates and upgrades.

Contact design engineers, mechanical engineers, buyers or other engineering professionals and technical personnel at companies defined by marketing campaign.
Make phone and online sales presentations to prospective customers communicating a complete understanding of the products available from Misumi. Insure that each customer fully understands how to order parts and how to use our downloadable 3D CAD data.
Promote and assist customers through registration, first quotation and order process.
Document in the Gold Mine Contact Resource Management System all information exchanged with customers and prospects.
Maintains account information, and resolves customer issues/problems.
Timely follow-up to all incoming leads, making informed decisions on which leads will be the best to pursue and qualify each prospect completely and accurately.
Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Manager.
