• Processes quotations and sales orders, prepares and follow up on purchase orders and confirmation of ship dates.

Responsible for all aspects of supplier management/development. Analyze and interpret data, work on improvement of department efficiencies.

• Development and execution of procurement strategies focused on both short and long term cost reductions.

• Uses detailed cost and value analysis negotiates pricing/supply agreements according to company’s requirements.

• Analyze annual sales of product groups to determine the products to source locally and to negotiate the best price and delivery.

• Reduce the cost and delivery of goods procured.

• Monitor the quality, delivery and level of customer service of each supplier.

• Resolve any problems with suppliers.

• Improve the performance of suppliers.

• Improve efficiency of supplier management, supplier qualification, and supplier ordering process.

• Provide support for Sales and Product Development key accounts including custom quotations and special requests.

• Analyze sales data to determine appropriate inventory level for items stocked at QCT.

• Maintain and add product data to internal system such as product master, quantity slide, check master and price master.

• Work with Sales/Product Development to develop prototype components per customer requirements.

• Process stock orders daily to maintain predetermined inventory levels and meet customer demand.

• 5-10% traveling required.

Plans and directs flow of air and surface traffic to/from foreign destinations.  Computes duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported/imported to/from foreign destinations.  Examines invoices and shipping documents to ensure accordance with federal regulations.  Researches international issues and reports on their relevance/impact to Misumi.

• Audit harmonized tariff code for Canada shipments.

• Work with freight forwarders for receiving and shipping internationally.

• Quotation and set-up special delivery/shipping arrangements.

• Research for specific international projects.

• Create commercial invoice, SED, NAFTA certificate and other international documents.

• Keep track of freight location and check costs.

• Make suggestions to management based on international logistical point of view.

• Create Dangerous goods declaration.

• Associates Degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) or equivalent experience.

• Minimum two years of logistics experience required.

• Knowledge of IATA rule (Japan, US, Canada).

Designs, develops, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.

• Ability to perform designs using AutoCAD, Solidworks or Inventor.

• Applies knowledge of the position and company policies and regulations to complete a variety of tasks.

• Performs product development activities including drawing layout, interpretation of customer specifications, and documentation of requirements.

• Provides existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware in production.

• Conducts engineering studies and may assign work to technical drafting staff.

• Supports Procurement Department in all aspects of product and vendor development

• On occasion, must visit customer facilities for technical assistance in product design or product issues.

• Review and provide feedback for 3D CAD models to outside CAD model builders to ensure accuracy.

• Maintain relationship with website designers to communicate updates and upgrades.

• Design and implement custom solutions for problems that arise using VB, VBA, Excel, Access, etc.

• Research and design new components for sales in Misumi Mechanical Components for Assembly Automation Catalog.

• Layout and proofread Misumi Custom Mechanical Components for Assembly Automation catalog pages.

• Populate and maintain engineering database

• Travel requirements – on average 1-2 trips per month

   

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Three to five years of previous engineering experience.

This position reports to the Inside Sales Manager. Responsible for initiating calls to prospects and turning them into new customers. Using a prepared selling script to promote and sell products and services of the company. Familiar with a variety of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

• Research targeted companies to identify key contacts, uncover opportunities to drive business.

• Contact design engineers, mechanical engineers, buyers or other engineering professionals and technical personnel at companies defined by marketing campaign.

• Make phone and online sales presentations to prospective customers communicating a complete understanding of the products available from Misumi. Insure that each customer fully understands how to order parts and how to use our downloadable 3D CAD data.

• Promote and assist customers through registration, first quotation and order process.

• Document in the Gold Mine Contact Resource Management System all information exchanged with customers and prospects.

• Maintains account information, and resolves customer issues/problems.

• Timely follow-up to all incoming leads, making informed decisions on which leads will be the best to pursue and qualify each prospect completely and accurately.

• Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Manager.

• B.S. Degree in Marketing, Business Admin. or Communications desirable.

• 1+ years of BtoB Industrial sales experience with manufacturing related products and services within the manufacturing industry desirable.

• Requires an aggressive and enthusiastic phone personality.

• Good consultative selling skills.

• Capable of making high volume of calls.

• Working knowledge of contact resource management systems and Gold Mine specifically is desirable.

• A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technology trends and how they would apply to real world projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years experience of selling linear motion or other mechanical components used to build custom assembly machines.

• Self motivated and organized.

• Mechanical design experience of various mechanical components for machine building including, but not limited to Rotary Motion, Linear Motion, Locating Components, etc.

• Ability to read and create manufacturing drawings.

• Good knowledge of 3D CAD (preferable Solidworks).
